Summary: The Surgical Oncology ETC will provide critical administrative support to foster the growth of academic programs and promote scholarly productivity. As the number of trainees in the Division continues to grow, along with the basic and translational research programs, the need for an individual dedicated to the management and coordination of our educational activities is of the utmost importance. We must ensure the highest quality for our educational programs to both serve those under our tutelage and to maintain an outstanding reputation in the academic community as our visibility continues to grow.
Education: High School Diploma; Associates Degree or equivalent preferred.
Experience: Three to five year’s progressive administrative support; preferably in a community hospital setting.
Working Conditions, Physical Environment and/or Safety Requirements: Must possess sound dexterity and visual acuity. Requires mental alertness, stamina to work in a fast-paced environment and in emergency situations. Ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach without restrictions. Ability to lift between 5 and 15 pounds using good body mechanics. May be exposed to all patient care elements within the outpatient setting. Risk of needle punctures. Must meet annual safety training requirements per hospital policy. Some risk of electrical, mechanical and chemical hazards. S/he is required to work the hours for which hired.
