Scope of Position
The Valet Manager oversees all facets of the Curbside Valet operation and will ensure a smooth-running valet parking operation by guaranteeing that all valet staff employees are performing their job functions in an efficient manner including but not limited to:
· Delivering top-flight customer service to our clients
· Hiring ideal frontline employees and providing them with the appropriate training and tools to perform at their best
· Maintaining the bottom line through the safe and efficient processing and transporting of customer vehicles from the curbside drop-off areas and the Valet holding lot
Essential Functions Responsibilities
To perform the Valet Manager position successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential duty and responsibility listed below with little supervision:
· Supervise valet attendant relations with clients to ensure that complaints, disagreements or misunderstandings about rates or services are resolved diplomatically
· Supervise the quality of work for all employees to ensure that all work tasks and assignments are performed efficiently, effectively, and as required
· Ensure that proper parking, driving and customer service procedures are being followed by all employees
· Supervise special events or functions as they relate to the valet operation in order to ensure that incoming customers are served efficiently and properly
· Monitor maintenance of the facility to ensure that it is clean and maintained according to company policies and procedures
· Administer employee progressive disciplinary action
Safety & Risk Management
· Monitor and review all damage claims in order to assign responsibility for damages
· Recommend and implement plans or programs to improve the safety of operations to prevent the occurrence or recurrence of similar claims
· Ensure all valet attendants complete an efficient and accurate pre-park inspection of each valet vehicle
· Review and ensure Key Audits are conducted on a shift-by-shift basis to reduce the potential for lost keys or vehicles
Position Requirements
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required for the individual selected for the Valet Manager position:
· Strong customer service skills
· Ability to push, pull and carry objects weighing up to 75 pounds
· Ability to comply with company policies and procedures
· Ability to speak clearly, write legibly, perform basic calculations and work well other employees
· Willingness to work outside in extreme weather conditions (cold, hot, rainy)
· Consistently arrive at work and on time; ensure work responsibilities are covered when absent; arrive at meetings and appointments on time
· Ability to effectively communicate in English (speak, read, write) with customers, co-workers and management to their understanding
Availability To Work
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must have open availability to work according to business demands including overnights, weekends, holidays and special events.
Licenses
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must:
· Possess a valid California state issue driver’s license with a current address and no restrictions
· Possess an acceptable driving record (MVR) with no at-fault accidents within the last seven (7) years
Computer Skills
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must:
· Possess basic computer software knowledge including utilization of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
· Possess the ability to quickly grasp computer mainframe systems to ensure an efficient and effective flow of business operations in the processing of payroll, employee documents and the completion of employee training courses
Supervisory and Managerial Experience
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess:
· At least three (3) years of Valet Supervisor experience
· At least three (3) years of Valet Manager experience
Math Ability
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess basic mathematical skills to:
· Add, subtract, multiply and divide
· Calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages
Language Skills
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess and demonstrate the ability to:
· Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
· Write clear and informative correspondence
· Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, supervisors and other employees of the organization
Reasoning Skills
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess and demonstrate the ability to:
· Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but standard written or oral instructions
· Exhibit sound and accurate judgment
· Effectively respond to customer requests for assistance, problems or complaints

The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess and demonstrate the ability to:
· Shift priorities quickly based on operational need

The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must maintain a neat and clean appearance at all times.

Education Requirements
The individual selected for the Valet Manager position must possess:
· Three to five years of valet parking management experience
· Airport experience is highly preferred
· A bachelor’s degree is preferred but can be substituted with relevant work experience
· Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA) and unionized employees
· Payroll through HRIS utilization
