Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of event venues before, during, and after sports activities to ensure a pristine environment.
- Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and vacuums to maintain high standards of cleanliness across all areas.
- Handle chemical agents safely while performing cleaning tasks, adhering strictly to chemical handling safety procedures.
- Conduct heavy lifting and manual handling tasks for moving furniture, equipment, or supplies in accordance with safe lifting practices.
- Maintain facilities by executing routine custodial duties including trash removal, floor care, and surface disinfecting to promote hygiene and safety.
- Support facilities maintenance by reporting any damages or safety hazards promptly for quick resolution.
- Provide excellent customer service by assisting event attendees with directions or inquiries related to cleanliness or facilities.
Skills
- Proven experience in custodial work, janitorial services, or industrial cleaning environments.
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, sanitation protocols, and commercial cleaning equipment operation.
- Ability to handle chemical agents safely while following all safety protocol guidelines.
- Skilled in heavy lifting and manual handling with an emphasis on safe lifting practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly approach toward event attendees and staff.
- Experience with floor buffing, floor care maintenance, and general facilities upkeep.
- Familiarity with maintenance tasks such as minor repairs or painting is a plus for supporting overall venue upkeep.
