Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems across commercial and residential properties. Your expertise will ensure optimal climate control, energy efficiency, and safety standards are met. Responsibilities
- Install, service, and repair HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, refrigeration equipment, and ventilation systems.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC design plans to accurately diagnose issues and execute repairs.
- Conduct routine maintenance on HVAC equipment to prevent breakdowns and extend system lifespan.
- Troubleshoot complex mechanical problems using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic instruments.
- Perform plumbing connections related to HVAC systems and ensure proper refrigerant handling, including ammonia refrigeration when applicable.
- Weld or perform mechanical repairs on equipment as needed; operate equipment repair tools safely.
- Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repairs or installations performed.
Skills
- Proven experience as a service technician with a strong background in HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/Refrigeration).
- Construction knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans accurately.
- Mechanical aptitude with experience in plumbing, refrigeration systems, boiler operation, and appliance repair.
- Field service expertise with the ability to troubleshoot on-site issues efficiently.
- Familiarity with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and general building mechanics.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating <PERSON> drivers preferred.
- Knowledge of ammonia refrigeration systems and experience working with HVAC/R equipment is highly desirable.
- Ability to use diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters; welding skills are a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to perform equipment repair and maintenance tasks confidently.

Pay: $24.95 - $30.05 per hour
