Overview:
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated CAREGIVERS / Home Care Aides to provide exceptional support and assistance to individuals in their homes and community settings. The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care, attentive observation, and respectful companionship. Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support.
- Monitor and record vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration rates to ensure patient safety.
- Support medication administration and adherence to care plans while maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and social engagement.
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with meal planning and cooking.
- Conduct light cleaning duties within the client’s residence to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
- Utilize proper techniques such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices for safe patient transfer and mobility assistance.
- Observe and report changes in client condition or behavior promptly to healthcare professionals or family members.
- Support clients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer’s disease, dementia, autism spectrum disorder, or developmental disabilities through targeted care strategies.
- Maintain accurate documentation of care activities, patient observations, and medication administration in compliance with healthcare standards.
Experience:
- Prior experience working in home health, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs accurately.
- Hands-on experience providing Alzheimer’s care, dementia care, or memory support services.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations related to patient privacy and confidentiality.
- Experience assisting individuals with disabilities or developmental challenges using appropriate support methods.
- Proficiency in performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and meal preparation within a caregiving context.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid is preferred; ongoing training in hospice care or long-term care is advantageous.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely when required for patient transfers or mobility assistance.
Pay: $19.50 - $22.00 per hour
