American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a high-acuity Med/Surg Telemetry position at an acute care hospital in Florida, requiring strong telemetry experience and a minimum of 2 years of experience.

Work in a mixed Med/Surg Telemetry unit at a 210-bed acute care hospital
-
High-acuity patient population including total joints cases
-
Patient ratio of 1:6
-
Day shift schedule, 4x12-hour shifts (7:00–19:00)

Every other weekend required
-
Floating required within scope of practice

Block scheduling is not available for this position

Charting is performed in Meditech
-
Free parking available on-site

Active FL or compact RN license currently in hand

Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS)

Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

Strong telemetry experience required
-
Rapid Response team experience required
-
Total joints nursing experience required

Must reside more than 30 miles from the facility to be eligible for this position

This is a mixed, high-acuity unit — candidates should review all details carefully before applying

Clinical orientation requires availability for a mandatory 5-shift orientation week (approximately 36–40 hours)

Approximately 4 hours of online modules must be completed prior to the start date

Any scrub color is acceptable

No RTO will be approved during the first or last week of the assignment

Holiday coverage is required: if 1–2 holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work 1 holiday eve and 1 holiday; if 3 holidays fall within the assignment, travelers must work 1 holiday eve and 2 holidays

2 professional supervisor references from within the past 2 years are required for consideration
