About Us
TZ Medical Monitoring Solutions is an accredited Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility (IDTF) expanding its Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) services throughout the Pacific Northwest. We are seeking an experienced credentialed Sleep Technologist to join our team as an independent contractor to support our growing sleep diagnostics program.
This is an excellent opportunity for a credentialed professional looking for flexible supplemental work while helping build an innovative sleep medicine program.
Position Type
- Independent Contractor (1099)
- Flexible schedule
- Approximately 5–15 hours per week initially
- Opportunity for additional hours as the program grows
- Must reside in the Portland metropolitan area and be able to work from our office in Tualatin as needed
Responsibilities
- Prepare, configure, and quality-check HSAT devices prior to patient shipment.
- Verify studies for technical adequacy upon return.
- Download and manage sleep study data.
- Assist with troubleshooting technical issues involving HSAT equipment.
- Ensure studies meet Medicare, accreditation, and company quality standards.
- Maintain accurate documentation and device tracking.
- Collaborate with our board-certified sleep physicians regarding technically inadequate studies when necessary.
- Assist in developing and maintaining sleep program workflows and quality assurance processes.
- Support compliance with CMS, Joint Commission, and company policies.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must possess one of the following current credentials:
- Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT)
- Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT)
- American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
- Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- Sleep Disorders Specialist (SDS)
Additional qualifications:
- Experience with Home Sleep Apnea Testing (HSAT) preferred.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills.
- Comfortable using computer-based diagnostic software.
- Excellent communication and patient service skills.
- Ability to work independently.
- Must live within commuting distance of Tualatin, Oregon.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Viatom or similar HSAT devices.
- Experience working with EnsoData or comparable sleep analysis platforms.
- Knowledge of Medicare and IDTF requirements.
- Experience supporting accreditation or quality management programs.

Compensation
Compensation is competitive and based on experience and credentials. Hourly and per-study arrangements will be considered.
Pay: $33.95 - $40.89 per hour
