Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented 2nd Shift Maintenance Mechanic to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This vital role involves maintaining and repairing our advanced production equipment to ensure seamless operations during the evening shift. The ideal candidate will bring strong mechanical and electrical expertise, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
- Maintain and calibrate precision measuring instruments to ensure product quality standards are met.
- Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment safely to access high or hard-to-reach areas.
- Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule upcoming tasks.
- Repair or replace components involving welding (including <LOCATION> welding), HVAC/R systems, low voltage wiring, or high voltage circuits as needed.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance while adhering to safety protocols.
Skills
- Experience working within manufacturing facilities with industrial maintenance responsibilities.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), schematics, and electrical systems—both low voltage and high voltage.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Familiarity with HVAC/R systems for maintaining climate control within the facility.
- Ability to read technical schematics and troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently.
- Excellent analysis skills coupled with a proactive approach to maintenance challenges.
- Previous experience in industrial electrician roles or field service positions is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
