Duties
- Oversee all store and school operations, including sales, customer service, and educational programs
- Lead hiring, onboarding, training, and supervising staff to ensure high performance and excellent customer interactions
- Manage inventory control, purchasing, pricing strategies, and merchandising to maximize sales potential
- Handle payroll processing, bookkeeping, cash handling with precision and accuracy
- Develop marketing initiatives to promote store events, lessons, and special offers that attract new customers
- Maintain a positive work environment by providing ongoing training & development opportunities and fostering teamwork
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, store policies, and licensing requirements while managing budgets and retail math calculations
Requirements
- Proven management experience in retail or educational settings; assistant manager or supervisory experience preferred
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus for serving diverse communities
- Demonstrated expertise in inventory management, POS systems, cash handling, and retail math
- Knowledge of music products and educational programs is mandatory; enthusiasm for music is essential
- Ability to lead by example through effective training & development of staff and team management skills
- Proficiency in customer service excellence, marketing strategies, and administrative tasks such as scheduling, bookkeeping and payroll processing
