We are a small family owned business in need to add to our Cafe family. Your enthusiasm and attention to detail will contribute to the overall success of our food service operation, supporting the front-of-house team and delighting our customers with quality meals.
Duties
- Prepare ingredients and assist in meal preparation according to established recipes and standards
- Operate food preparation equipment safely and efficiently, including slicing, chopping, and cooking appliances
- Follow food safety management protocols to ensure proper handling, storage, and sanitation of all ingredients and equipment
- Perform manual handling tasks such as heavy lifting of supplies and ingredients to support food production needs
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen area by cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment regularly
- Assist in food production processes, including portioning, plating, and packaging meals for service or catering orders and running food to tables.
- Support the team with sensory evaluation to ensure food quality meets company standards
- Adhere to safety standards during all aspects of food handling and kitchen operations
- Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines while maintaining high quality standards
Qualifications
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or restaurant operations within the food industry
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic math skills for measuring ingredients and portion control
- Knowledge of safety standards in food production environments and proper use of food preparation equipment
- Excellent customer service awareness to support overall restaurant operations when needed
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred but not required; a passion for culinary arts is essential

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour
