The Regional Insurance Manager, North America is responsible for initiating, developing and/or maintaining Insurance products, identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities in line with the desired risk level and existing guidelines of the organization. All the while with a view to ensuring compliance and effective operational design to deliver improving performance for insurance from both a financial and customer satisfaction perspective. Providing subject matter expertise (SME) oversight as and when necessary, providing support & training to internal & external stakeholders.
Day to day
Sales & Performance:
Drive portfolio performance through market benchmarking, data-led insights, and clear action plans. Monitor losses and exposure, deliver monthly dashboards, and support budgeting and targets.
New Business Development:
Identify and launch new insurance opportunities across vendors and channels. Design compliant, customer-focused programs, build strong business cases, negotiate agreements, and lead end-to-end implementation (legal, ops, IT, training).
Advisory & Market Insight:
Act as a regional SME on insurance. Monitor regulatory changes, market trends, and competitors to shape strategy and ensure compliance. Promote best practice and global alignment.
Customer & Stakeholder Management:
Build strong relationships with brokers, insurers, and partners. Ensure high service standards across claims, complaints, and enquiries. Support regional communications, training, and engagement.
Program & Relationship Management:
Own third-party relationships and continuously improve program performance. Optimize terms, costs, and income while ensuring regulatory compliance and operational excellence. Support product development, pricing, and documentation.
Operational Support & Governance:
Provide ongoing insurance SME support to wider organisation. Identify and propose process, claims handling, and customer experience enhancements. Contribute to risk committees and oversee complex claims and/or disputes.
Corporate Insurance Support:
Provide insurance SME input and recommendations on areas of risk management, corporate insurance, vendor agreements, and contracting matters.

Essentials:
Qualifications
Educational Background: Degree in Business Administration/Economics or other related qualification.
Insurance Producer License (may be possible to obtain post-hire for right candidate)
Ideally also holding recognized Professional Insurance Qualification(s) (may be possible to obtain post-hire for right candidate)

Experience
10 years of commercial insurance experience within broking and/or underwriting (Physical Damage, Property, Motor and PPI/Life).
Strong entrepreneurial mindset with proven commercial success with 5+ years within a Leasing, broking or underwriting environment.
Knowledge of insurance regulations
Working knowledge of leasing financial products: finance lease, operational lease and loan with collateral.
Track record of consistent delivery against stated objectives in the market
Expertise in Agriculture, Green assets and e-Mobility desired
Insurance Operational handling experience (quotation, submission, complex claim handling)
Placement, procurement and successful Underwriting experience on electronic and green assets, agriculture, material handling and construction equipment
General knowledge and understanding of Reinsurance.
Regular exposure and experience of presenting to or influencing senior external and internal stakeholder groups (incl. C-suite / Board levels)

Applicable Pay Range
$153,649.00 - $230,473.00
