Position Overview
The Operations Manager leads daily plant operations to achieve safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This role drives operational excellence through leadership, process improvement, and data-driven decision-making. The position partners cross-functionally to ensure efficient, compliant, and reliable production while supporting a culture of continuous improvement.
Primary Responsibilities
- Lead daily plant operations to meet safety, quality, and production targets
- Allocate staffing and resources based on production plans and demand
- Implement Lean practices and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Coach and develop supervisors and production team members
- Track and analyze KPIs; implement corrective actions for performance gaps
- Partner with supply chain, finance, and operations teams to meet service and cost goals
- Manage departmental spending and support inventory and planning activities
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of leadership experience in a multi-shift manufacturing environment
- Experience using ERP systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience leading projects or process improvement initiatives
- Authorization to work without employer sponsorship
Preferred Requirements
- Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in chemical, industrial, or process manufacturing
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or similar quality management systems
- Experience with KPI reporting, cost analysis, and data-driven decision-making
Pay: $115,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
