Join our team as a Line Cook/Prep Cook! In this role you will prepare and cook food items using fresh ingredients according to our recipes and ensure every dish meets our high standards of quality. We are a small family-owned and operated restaurant with a varied menu. Dependability and punctuality are an absolute must!! This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop your skills in a fast-paced environment. Flexible schedule and no late-night hours closing at 9 p.m. Availability must include nights and weekends.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients and assemble dishes according to established recipes and menu specifications
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including knives, flat top grill, ovens, and fryers
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist in meal preparation for service, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality dishes
- Communicate effectively with kitchen staff to coordinate tasks and ensure smooth operations
- Follow food handling procedures and safety standards throughout all stages of food production
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or culinary environment preferred
- Knowledge of food safety management and proper food handling techniques
- Experience with recipe adherence, and food preparation processes
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently
- Excellent communication skills to work collaboratively with fellow kitchen staff and management
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness and uphold safety standards in a fast-paced setting
- Must be dependable and have reliable transportation
