PURPOSE
Under the direction and supervision of the Chief Executive Officer, the Clinical Director is primarily responsible for developing, planning, and supervising mental health services to improve quality of life in our community. Director is also responsible for the oversight, evaluation, and coordination of both the administrative and clinical behavioral health services in a community health center setting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Provide direct supervision, training, evaluation, and guidance for all departmental staff, both licensed and non-licensed.
· Ensures compliance with licensing authority rules and regulations.
· Requires a high level of clinical knowledge for understanding what patients with mental disorders need from their treatment.
· Provide mental health and substance abuse screening, assessment, and interventions in accordance with state licensure scope of practice using Evidence-based practices.
· Coordinates patient care within the DSCHC system of care.
· Ensures that all behavioral health contract requirements are met in a timely manner.
· Attend meetings as requested.
· Ensures charting/documentation compliance.
· Establishes, maintains, and oversees the administrative and reporting functions of the department.
· Develop, write, review, update, and implement the policies and procedures of the departmental clinical and administrative tasks in accordance with the organization’s accreditation body, the state/ federal requirements, and national standards of care for behavioral health departments.
· Other duties as assigned.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Air-conditioned office/treatment rooms. School setting. Daily patient contact. Considerable work on desktop computer. Frequent interruptions in routine schedule.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
· Master’s or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling, Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Psychology or related degree leading to licensure as a mental health clinician in the State of Arizona from an accredited graduate school required.
· Current licensure issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners as Clinical Psychologist, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT or eligibility for the same based upon out-of-state licensure.
· Clinical Supervisor certification or ability to obtain with 3 months of hire.
· Have a minimum of 4 years of clinical experience and 2 years of supervisory experience with demonstrated experience in leadership management of clinicians and programs.
Must communicate effectively with the interpersonal skills to converse with a diverse population, in a culturally sensitive manner both in writing and orally. This includes co-workers, MH staff members, patients, their families, community members, and stakeholders.

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
