We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team in Warwick site. Responsibilities
- Provide clinical support to healthcare providers in a primary care environment
- Review patient medical records to assist with ordering appropriate screening tests and documenting results
- Administer vaccines in accordance with established protocols
- Perform routine clinical procedures, including measuring vital signs and collecting specimens
- Manage and update electronic health records using medical software systems
- Address patient inquiries and support their medical needs with empathy and professionalism
- Work closely with the healthcare team to ensure smooth and efficient patient flow
Requirements
- Prior experience in a medical setting, preferably in outpatient or clinic-based care
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems, especially Athena
- Solid understanding of anatomy and medical terminology
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced clinical environment; experience in a Patient-Centered Medical Home is a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a compassionate approach to patient interactions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
