We are seeking a dynamic Center Director to lead Little Leaders Learning Academy with enthusiasm, strategic insight, and a deep commitment to early childhood education. In this pivotal role, you will oversee all aspects of the center’s operations, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes childhood development, educational excellence, and compliance with all regulatory standards. Your leadership will inspire staff, engage families, and foster a vibrant community dedicated to empowering young learners and preparing them for future success. Responsibilities
- Operations & Administration
- Ensure daily attendance is submitted accurately in Procare.
Parent & Staff Communication
- Communicate with parents regarding any emergent issues, including illnesses, injuries, behavioral concerns, or center updates.
- Communicate with staff regarding urgent operational changes or concerns.
- Respond promptly to parent questions and concerns.
Health & Safety
- Update the Injury and Illness Tracker daily.
- Review and follow up on all incident and accident reports to ensure they are completed accurately and submitted within required timeframes.
- Ensure emergency procedures are being followed.
- Monitor building safety and report immediate concerns.
Weekly Responsibilities
Program & Curriculum
- Prepare and review weekly lesson plans to ensure curriculum compliance.
- Ensure classroom documentation is current and displayed appropriately.
- Review classroom learning activities for quality and completeness.
Facility & Compliance
- Submit urgent maintenance requests as needed.
- Ensure every classroom has current emergency contact forms readily available for every enrolled child.
- Conduct classroom walkthroughs to monitor compliance, organization, and cleanliness.
Staffing
- Review staff timekeeping and attendance records for accuracy.
- Follow up on missed punches and timekeeping discrepancies.
- Provide coaching and support to staff as needed.
Enrollment
- Conduct a minimum of two center tours each week.
- Contact prospective families the day before each scheduled tour to confirm attendance.
- Follow up with prospective families after tours to answer questions and encourage enrollment.
Monthly Responsibilities
Professional Development
- Assign required monthly staff training.
- Complete monthly PD Registry compliance checks to ensure all staff remain current on required trainings and credentials.
Program Oversight
- Meet with PHL Pre-K monitoring staff as required.
- Review classroom bulletin boards to ensure they are current, engaging, and developmentally appropriate.
- Ensure classrooms maintain professional, welcoming appearances.
Operations
- Purchase classroom and office supplies.
- Coordinate and communicate monthly family events, celebrations, and center activities.
- Monitor inventory levels and replenish supplies as needed.
Child Development
- Oversee completion of Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ).
- Ensure referrals are submitted promptly for children identified as needing additional evaluation or support.
- Monitor follow-up documentation for all referrals.
Quarterly Responsibilities
Assessment & Quality
- Oversee completion of student assessments.
- Ensure assessments are completed accurately and on schedule.
- Review assessment data with teachers to guide instructional planning.
- Monitor child progress and ensure documentation is maintained.
Ongoing Responsibilities
Leadership
- Promote a positive, professional, and team-oriented culture.
- Maintain compliance with all OCDEL, DHS, Keystone STARS, PHL Pre-K, and Little Leaders Learning Academy policies.
- Support teachers through coaching, mentoring, and classroom observations.
- Maintain confidentiality of children, families, and staff information.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for licensing representatives, state monitors, and community partners when appropriate.
- Support enrollment growth through excellent customer service and consistent family engagement.
- Ensure the center operates safely, efficiently, and in alignment with the mission and vision of Little Leaders Learning Academy.
- Review daily classroom notes in Procare and follow up with teachers as needed.
- Ensure staff are aware of the schedule and classroom assignments for the following day.
- Address daily staffing concerns, including call-offs, classroom coverage, and ratio compliance.
- Monitor staff-to-child ratios throughout the day.
- Ensure classrooms maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment.
