Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter/Handyman to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in carpentry, tile work, flooring, drywall, painting, texture, framing, siding, home repairs, and general maintenance work. This position involves performing a variety of construction, remodeling, and repair tasks to ensure our projects and client properties are completed with quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse assignments, from remodeling and restoration to new construction and custom fabrication. Responsibilities:
- Perform rough and finish carpentry including framing, trim, doors, and cabinetry
- Conduct general repairs such as drywall patching, painting
- Assemble, install, and repair structures and fixtures (windows, doors, flooring, fences, decks, etc.)
- Install tiling, showers, backsplashes, tile floors, etc.
- Inspect and troubleshoot issues to determine the most effective repair method
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and other construction equipment safely and efficiently
- Assist with concrete forming, masonry work, plastering, stucco application, roofing, flooring installation, tile laying, and water damage restoration projects.
- Support remodeling efforts by performing demolition, surface preparation such as construction painting, siding replacement, and cabinetry work.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members
- Ensure all work meets company standards and complies with building codes and safety regulations
- Assist in heavy lifting and material handling to support project timelines and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3+ years of carpentry or handyman experience (residential or commercial)
- Proficiency with tools, materials, and construction techniques
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on ladders or in varied environments
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Knowledge of concrete forming techniques, plastering methods, rebar installation procedures, and tile or flooring installation is a plus.
- Experience in water damage restoration or mold remediation is advantageous.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining physical stamina for long shifts on active job sites.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on quality craftsmanship; ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with remodeling, finish carpentry, or property maintenance
- Knowledge of OSHA safety standards ie. 29 CFR 1910 & 29 CFR 1926
- Own set of tools and basic equipment
Compensation:
- Competitive hourly wage or salary based on experience
- Overtime and bonus opportunities available
Pay: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour
