Part-Time Sales Associate or Part Time Watch Technician– Jewelry & Watch Retail

We are onboarding and training Part-Time Sales Associates to join our growing jewelry and watch retail team. No prior jewelry experience is required but sales experience or experience with delicate repair tasks . We are not accepting high school or college students. Candidates with retail jewelry experience will be considered toward the higher end of the pay range. We strongly encourage candidates who are fluent in both Spanish and English to apply.
You will deliver excellent customer service while helping maintain a clean, professional, and welcoming showroom, while also learning hands-on jewelry and watch skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and provide friendly, personalized assistance
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with clients
- Assist customers with jewelry, watch, and non-repair retail sales
- Follow standard repair intake procedures accurately and consistently
- Operate the POS system for sales and transactions
- Ensure the showroom is clean and presentable at all times, including wiping down glass display cases, keeping jewelry neatly displayed, and maintaining an organized sales floor
- Take clear photos of jewelry for marketing.
- Answer phone calls professionally and assist with customer inquiries
- Take out trash and perform light cleaning duties as needed
Watch Technician Responsibilities (available to interested applicants only)
- Learn to safely open cases, identify battery types, and perform proper battery replacement with a quality check
- Learn to measure wrist fit, remove and reinsert pins, and adjust clasps for a proper bracelet and link sizing
- Option to pursue advanced repair techniques including movement servicing, crystal replacement, crown and stem repair, and water resistance testing
- Learn to properly use, clean, store, and maintain watchmaker equipment including case openers, loupes, tweezers, and demagnetizers
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Willingness to learn the jewelry and watch industry
- Ability to learn basic services: watch battery replacements, bracelet and link sizing.
- Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures
- Comfortable working with valuable merchandise
- Basic computer and POS system knowledge
- Retail or sales experience is a plus, but not required
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Business professional dress required
- Bilingual in Spanish and English strongly encouraged
