Our firm represents insurance carriers, businesses, and insured clients in a wide range of civil litigation matters. Responsibilities
- Manage litigation caseload from inception through trial.
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, deposition notices, and correspondence.
- Coordinate and maintain litigation calendars, including court deadlines and scheduling orders.
- Organize medical, employment, and other case records; prepare chronologies and document summaries.
- Prepare attorneys for depositions, mediations, arbitrations, hearings, and trial.
- Coordinate with clients, insurance adjusters, expert witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel.
- Assist with electronic filing in state and federal courts.
- Maintain case files using the firm's document management and case management systems.
- Review and summarize discovery, medical records, and expert reports.
- Assist with trial preparation, including exhibit binders, witness lists, trial notebooks, and jury instructions.
- Accurately record billable time and comply with client billing guidelines.
Qualifications:
- Litigation or insurance defense experience preferred.
- Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
- Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures and court rules.
- Experience with state and federal electronic filing systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload and meet deadlines.
- Flexible hybrid work schedule
