As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting beverages, engaging with customers, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes and customer preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring an enjoyable experience.
- Process cash and credit transactions accurately using a cash register or point-of-sale system.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist with ordering supplies as needed.
- Adhere to all food safety and handling regulations to ensure the health and safety of patrons.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service of food orders when applicable.
Skills
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to create a friendly atmosphere for guests.
- Experience in sales, cash handling, and retail math is beneficial for managing transactions effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and proper food handling techniques is essential.
- Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members.
- Basic math skills for accurate cash register operations and drink measurements.
- A background in hospitality or experience in a similar role is preferred but not required.
