Description
CTS provides telecommunication and data installations/service for customers in the Bi-State St. Louis area and Springfield IL. We also will complete service and install out of our geographical area when there is a need. Our flagship product is the Avaya IP Office. We also provide a smaller solution with ESI Communication Systems. CTS services a variety of systems along with the most implemented systems being the Avaya Partner ACS and the IP Office.
The duties would include but may not be limited to:
•Perform service and installation with multiple phone systems with a strong focus on Avaya IPO.
•Installation of small business network gear – Routers – Firewalls – Managed L3 Switches
•Implementation of Wi-Fi access points and controllers
•Installation of phone/data cabling, A/V cabling (including coaxial), and fiber to code.
•Installation of A/V equipment, camera systems, and paging systems.
•Provide technician skills that would include data gathering, installation, training, wiring, and troubleshooting.
•Rotation in the on call schedule.
•Support systems remotely with troubleshooting and MAC work when possible.
•Maintaining company provided tools such as vehicle, cell phone, lap top, and any company provided equipment.
•To be a self-motivated individual who exhibits sense of urgency in all service related activity.
•Project Management
Requirements:
VOIP EXPERIENCE A MUST
•Experience with Avaya products including the IP Office
•Strong customer service skills
•Knowledge of the cabling color codes and termination standards
•Ability to multitask
•Strong communication, organizations & presentation skills are essential
•Ability to be able to work with minimal direction
•Strong problem-solving, analytical, as well as critical thinking skills needed with the ability to troubleshoot in an
efficient manner
•Providing and the operation knowledge of a phone technician toolkit
•Knowledge of RS323 serial connections
•Data/Computer knowledge including:
o Data/network connections
o Hyper terminal and ProComm
o Microsoft Office Products
o TCP/IP Knowledge
o Network Routing Knowledge
o L3 Manage Switches
o TFTP - FTP – HTTPS
o Basic Electrical Knowledge
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
