What You Will Be Doing
As the Design Engineer you will be responsible for managing the release process of structural design data, ensuring version control, validation, and timely delivery to downstream teams.
Your responsibilities will include:

Plan, coordinate, and execute the release of structural design packages (CAD models, drawings, BOMs, etc.).

Apply configuration management processes to maintain baseline integrity of structural data.

Conduct pre‑release verification and validation activities, generate release documentation, and ensure complete audit trails.

Liaise with design, systems, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve release blockers and provide technical guidance on PLM and CAD tools.

Identify workflow bottlenecks and propose automation or procedural enhancements, contributing to release procedures and training material.

Further Information About This Opportunity
MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
Basic Qualifications:
- 2+ years of aerospace-related experience
- Experience using CAD software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Eligibility for Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
- CATIA V5 experience
- Experience using PLM system (ADMS preferred)
- Experience handling ITAR and export-controlled information
- Familiarity with Technical Data Packages
- Strong customer service and excellent written/verbal communication skills

Ability to Work Remotely:
Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position:
4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
