Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their food orders in a fast-paced environment
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems and online ordering platforms like Uber Eats, Door Dash, and Grubhub
- Manage cash register operations, including processing cash, credit/debit card payments, and providing accurate change
- Upsell menu items and promote specials to enhance sales and improve guest experience
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including food handling areas and cashier stations
- Support food preparation when needed, including basic food handling and sanitation practices
- Ensure adherence to food safety standards and sanitation regulations at all times
- Assist with food service customer order management to ensure timely delivery of orders
- Operate kitchen equipment safely when required and support overall restaurant operations
- Handle retail sales transactions for any merchandise or promotional items offered at the venue
- Make simple coffee orders
Experience
- Previous experience in quick service or fast food restaurant environments preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Food service customer order management experience is advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus
- Strong math skills for processing cash transactions accurately
- Demonstrated ability to manage time effectively during busy periods
- Experience with food handling, sanitation, and safety protocols in the food industry or retail settings
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Kitchen or café experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is key
