Summary
As a Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) at Assisting Hands Home Care, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our clients in their homes. This position is crucial for ensuring that our clients receive the medical and rehabilitative support they need while maintaining their comfort and independence.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing or therapy support services to clients in the home setting.
- Administer IV infusions, manage medication protocols, and/or assist with therapy plans as required by your licensure and role.
- Document all patient interactions and care activities accurately.
- Assist with diagnostic evaluations, therapy sessions, and develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care for patients.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust care or therapy plans as necessary based on assessments.
- Educate clients and families on health management, rehabilitation strategies, and daily living activities.
- Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations and professional standards.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) license in good standing.
- APD training/certification preferred but not required (training can be provided).
- Home care experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of medical documentation practices; ICD-10 coding experience preferred for nurses.
- Proficient in IV infusion techniques and case management principles (for nursing roles).
- Ability to assist with therapy sessions, implement treatment plans, and support rehabilitative care (for OTA role).
- Experience with APD patients is a plus.
- Experience working with pediatric patients is a plus but not mandatory.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with clients and families.
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
