Primary Responsibilities:

Provide consistent one on one support to an assigned student.
-
Willingness to complete training and paraprofessional development in working with students with disabilities to support them academically and behaviorally
-
Flexibility in environment (open to push-in to support students in the classroom or working in small-groups or one-on-one on related content)

Openness to following lesson plans created by the Special Education Teacher

Ability to accommodate or modify assignments as needed after receiving guidance from the Special Education Teacher

Input of Data into Synergy SE after being trained by Special Education Teacher
-
Help collect and enter Progress Monitoring Data for individual student goals
-
Attend Special Education meetings as requested by the Special Education Teacher
-
Behavior supports as needed within the Lab or General Education Classroom (would receive CPI Nonviolent Intervention Training)

Assists with supervision of students during emergency calls, assemblies, play periods, and field trips

Keeps bulletin boards and other classroom learning displays up to date

Checks notebooks, corrects papers, and supervises testing and make up work, as assigned by the Special Education Teacher
