Valle Verde Animal Hospital in Albuquerque is seeking a dependable, customer service oriented person to join our team. We are looking for someone who can handle a fast-paced environment, multi-task and works well as a team member. Valle Verde AH is a new non corporate practice offering medical and surgical care focused on small animal and exotic pets, including reptiles and avian species.
Part-time schedule is usually up to four 4-5 hour shifts, but can vary depending on hospital needs.
Pay is dependent on experience and knowledge base.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
- Answer and direct phone calls as needed.
- Schedule appointments appropriately
- Check clients in/out for appointments in a friendly professional manner including obtaining payments from clients.
- Facilitate timely care for patients and clients.
- Monitor communication and facilitate requests from clients.
- Keep hospital stocked, tidy, and clean.
- Assist with other tasks as needed.
The ideal person would have the following characteristics:
- Must enjoy working with animals and people.
- A self-starter that will take initiative to accomplish tasks at hand.
- Ability to maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor in high-stress situations.
- Comfortable working with all types of animals, including exotics.
- Ability to multitask and willingness to learn.
