Bookkeeping Personal Assistant wanted for semi-retired lawyer:
The position handles a variety of tasks including:
· Manage QuickBooks, accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliation, and monthly financial reports
· Organize records and work with the accountant to ensure required information is received in a timely manner.
· Track expenses, managing bills, and maintaining accurate bookkeeping and account information
· Coordinate correspondence with partners, attorneys, real estate property management, accountants, financial contracts, and immediate family members.
· Fulfill governmental accounting processes as needed.
· Assisting with time-sensitive paperwork and follow-up tasks
· Manage scheduling, appointments, and travel for both personal and business
· Support daily office operations, including handling mail, phone calls, ordering supplies, document preparation, and filing
· Plan, schedule, and coordinate with property management, keeping up with property maintenance
· Maintain strict confidentiality regarding financial and personal information, exercising sound judgment in handling sensitive information.
Skills Required:
Strong organizational skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
Attention to detail: Ensuring accuracy in financial records and administrative tasks
Proficiency in Accounting Software: Familiar with bookkeeping software. Experience with QuickBooks is a plus.
Expert in Microsoft Office 365, specifically in Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Proficient in PDF creation, editing, and Word/Excel PDF features.
Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset.
Someone who enjoys variety and doesn’t mind when priorities shift.
Previous experience in bookkeeping or accounting is preferred
· Salary is based on experience level and whether full-time or part-time.
· Work location: In person mostly but some remote work possible
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
