Position Title: LPN Charge Nurse
Employment Type: Full-Time
Shift: Days 7a-7p
Position Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and skilled LPN Charge Nurse to join our nursing center team. The LPN Charge Nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to residents while overseeing daily clinical operations on the assigned shift. This role plays a key part in ensuring resident safety, regulatory compliance, and effective team communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans and physician orders
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and timely
- Serve as the charge nurse for the assigned shift, providing guidance and supervision to CNAs/PCAs
- Monitor resident conditions and promptly report changes to physicians and leadership
- Complete accurate documentation in accordance with facility policy and state regulations
- Respond to emergencies and ensure appropriate follow-up
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members
- Ensure compliance with infection control, safety, and quality standards
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care coordination as needed
Qualifications:
- Current LPN license in good standing in the state
- Long-term care or skilled nursing experience preferred
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and make sound clinical decisions
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-centered approach to care
- Ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents as needed
