B&N Registered Surveyor Responsibilities:
- Perform office survey work under the direction of a Professional Surveyor
- Perform survey computations for boundaries, subdivisions, easements, and existing topographic base mapping; deed research in various jurisdictions; utility locate requests
- Prepare route survey plats, easement and right-of-way exhibits, and right-of-way plans
- Operate CAD and survey software
- Regularly communicate with survey staff, designers, state and local agencies
- Assist with preparing scopes and fee justifications
- Other duties as required
Skills & Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree or equivalent
- Minimum of six (6) years of surveying experience processing survey data and preparing topographic surveys and plats of survey.
- Registration as Indiana Professional Surveyor (PS) but will consider Survey Intern (SI) working towards PS registration
- Use of Civil3D or Open Roads survey software, experience with MS Word and Excel
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Valid driver's license with a good driving record
- Ability to travel within the region as required
- Self-motivated and adaptable, tech savvy that includes the capability to learn new surveying technologies
