Job Summary

Duties
- Develop and implement dynamic curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages of young children, incorporating literacy, math, physical education, and social skills.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes positive behavior management and effective classroom management strategies.
- Conduct child development assessments to monitor progress and adapt instruction accordingly, ensuring each child's individual needs are met.
- Engage in active communication with parents and guardians to share progress updates, discuss concerns, and foster strong home-school connections.
- Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, activity organization, and transition management to maximize learning time.
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and maintain accurate records related to child welfare, health, and safety protocols such as first aid and CPR certifications.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development projects, participate in ongoing professional development related to early intervention, special education, and childhood development best practices.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience working with children in preschool or daycare settings is essential.
- Demonstrated knowledge of early childhood education principles, including child development instruction and behavior management techniques.
- Experience designing curriculum that incorporates literacy education, math concepts, physical activities, and social-emotional learning.
- Familiarity with special education needs and early intervention strategies to support diverse learners.
- Strong communication skills for effective parent engagement and teamwork within an educational setting.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; additional credentials in childhood development or special education are advantageous.
- Proven ability to manage classroom environments effectively while adhering to safety standards and mandated reporting laws.
