Responsibilities
- Perform thorough patient observations, including physical assessments and examinations, to accurately diagnose musculoskeletal conditions.
- Develop and implement personalized care plans that incorporate pain management techniques such as trigger point therapy and biomechanics analysis.
- Conduct acute pain management interventions and oversee patient rehabilitation programs to promote recovery and restore function.
- Utilize EMR/EHR systems efficiently for documenting patient histories, assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Carry out physical examinations and diagnostic procedures, including the interpretation of medical imaging when necessary, to inform diagnosis and treatment strategies.
- Monitor patient progress through ongoing assessments, adjusting care plans based on physiology knowledge and evidence-based practice principles.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care, especially within occupational health settings or primary care environments.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and musculoskeletal diagnostics.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, physical assessments, and physical examinations relevant to chiropractic practice.
- Experience with pain medicine techniques such as trigger point therapy and other manual therapies.
- Ability to assess patients effectively through observation, palpation, and functional testing.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR software for accurate documentation of patient interactions and treatment outcomes.
- Excellent communication skills for explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and care plans clearly to patients.
- Demonstrated experience in pain management, patient care coordination, and evidence-based practice approaches.
