Employment Type: Full-Time / Contractor
Location: Miami, FL

Description

Forensic Engineer will be responsible for performing visual inspections for residential and commercial properties throughout South Florida. Inspections require standing, climbing, crawling, crouching, lifting (<50lb), measuring, safe use of a ladder, and accessing confined spaces. Individual will prepare structural inspection reports including information regarding observed conditions, site photographs, evaluation of existing conditions, and recommended methods of repair.

Individual will be required to travel <60 miles from office and must use own reliable transportation (travel allowances provided).

Skills & Qualifications:

Must have a clean driving record.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent overall computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.).
Conduct business in an honest and ethical fashion at all times.
Excellent time management skills.
Preferred candidates will have an active Professional Engineer license in the State of Florida. Engineer Interns with a completed EIT Certification and previous experience at another engineering or architecture firm, have worked in residential or commercial construction, or have experience with field inspections are encouraged to apply.
