POSITION: The Dietary Services Manager is to effectively manage the Dietary Department to assure that food service to residents is safe, appetizing and provides for their nutritional needs. The Dietary Services Manager is responsible for managing food and labor budgets effectively. Will have ability to communicate effectively with residents, staff, and family members. Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and completes nutritional screens on our residents.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
Education: High School graduate or equivalent
License: Completion of state approved program in Dietetic Services Management or currently enrolled in approved program Servsafe Certification Work Experience: At least two years experience in nursing home setting preferred
Language Skills:
§ Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, and to be easily understood through verbal communication in the English language.
Mathematical Skills:
§ Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
§ Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, and volume.
Communication Skills:
§ Must have exceptional communication and customer service skills, and be empathetic.
§ Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, responsible parties, staff and outside resources and agencies.
§ Computer literate and able to use Word, Excel, Outlook, and Internet.
