Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive electrical systems, schematics, and advanced automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues accurately.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, powertrains, suspensions, shocks & struts, brakes, steering components, and electrical systems.
- Service vehicles with oil changes, tire rotations, wheel alignments, wheel balancing, and tire service to ensure safety and optimal operation.
- Repair and replace components related to ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), auto body repairs, welding tasks, and auto estimating procedures.
- Utilize hand tools and power tools efficiently to disassemble, repair, or replace parts with precision.
- Diagnose complex mechanical problems involving diesel engines and GM vehicles specifically when required.
- Maintain detailed records of repairs performed using automotive schematics and repair manuals for accurate documentation.
- Ensure all work complies with safety standards and manufacturer specifications while providing excellent customer service by explaining repairs clearly and professionally.
- Assist in vehicle maintenance tasks such as fluid checks, belt replacements, and system inspections to prolong vehicle lifespan.
- Support the team in maintaining a clean and organized workspace while adhering to all safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven mechanic experience with a solid understanding of automotive repair procedures across various vehicle makes and models.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems.
- Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by expertise in automotive electrical systems and schematics interpretation.
- Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair and powertrain components is essential.
- Proficiency in using diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics to pinpoint issues efficiently.
- Ability to perform brake repair, wheel alignment, suspension work (including shocks & struts), tire service, oil changes, and auto body repairs confidently.
- Familiarity with ADAS technology integration and auto estimating processes enhances your candidacy.
- Skilled in welding techniques for auto body repairs or component fabrication when necessary.
- Knowledge of vehicle maintenance routines that extend beyond basic repairs to include comprehensive service tasks.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, lifts, and other automotive equipment safely and effectively.
