Duties
- Safely operate cherry pickers, reach trucks, clamp trucks, and other heavy equipment to retrieve and store inventory at elevated levels.
- Perform order picking with precision using various warehouse equipment, ensuring accuracy for shipping and receiving processes.
- Load and unload shipments efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards and warehouse safety protocols.
- Conduct routine equipment inspections, minor repairs, and maintenance to ensure optimal operation of all machinery.
- Assist with inventory management tasks within the warehouse management system, including stock counts and location updates.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials handling workflows and optimizing storage space.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to ensure smooth daily operations and maintain high safety standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating reach trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, clamp trucks, or similar heavy equipment in a warehouse setting.
- Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and order picker operations.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to perform basic repairs or troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations related to forklift operation and materials
