Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various dance styles, and possess the ability to engage and inspire students of all ages. This role involves developing lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and fostering a positive learning environment for both children and adults. The Dance Instructor will also have opportunities to integrate creative elements such as photography and theater into the curriculum.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging dance curricula tailored to different age groups and skill levels.
- Teach various dance styles with a focus on technique, creativity, and expression.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a supportive learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized tutoring and support to students as needed.
- Organize performances and showcase events to highlight student progress.
- Collaborate with other instructors to enhance program offerings, including integrating culinary arts or sewing into themed classes when appropriate.
- Maintain a safe and clean studio environment conducive to learning.
- Communicate regularly with students and parents regarding progress and areas for improvement.
Requirements
- Proven experience in teaching dance, with a strong emphasis on all styles preferred.
- Background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management.
- Experience working with children in educational settings; early childhood education or preschool experience is a plus.
- Ability to engage with adult learners through specialized dance classes or workshops.
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques and childhood development principles.
- Additional skills in areas such as theater, or special education are highly valued.
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 - $37.00 per hour
