Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Projects Manager Estimator to join our construction team. As a Projects Manager Estimator, you will lead the estimation process, review construction drawings, manage budgets, and coordinate with various stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within scope. Responsibilities
- Review and interpret technical construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications to accurately estimate material requirements and labor costs.
- Develop detailed project estimates using tools such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and Xactimate, ensuring accuracy in pricing and resource allocation.
- Manage the entire estimating process for multiple projects, including quantity take-offs, cost analysis, and risk assessment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing agreements, and scope of work with suppliers, subcontractors, and clients to secure favorable terms.
- Oversee cost management and control throughout the project lifecycle, adjusting estimates as needed to stay within budget.
- Collaborate closely with project managers and construction teams to ensure estimates align with project goals and site realities.
- Lead efforts in cost control, tracking project expenses against budgets, and providing detailed reports for stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and construction standards while managing project timelines effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience managing projects as a construction estimator with a strong background in construction estimating and project management.
- Proficiency in estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, Xactimate, along with a solid understanding of construction drawing review.
- Demonstrated ability to interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately for material take-offs and pricing.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to establish mutually beneficial agreements with vendors and subcontractors.
- Extensive construction site experience combined with knowledge of contracts, cost management, and construction management principles.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating across teams and presenting detailed estimates clearly.
- Familiarity with cost control techniques, estimating material requirements from blueprints, and managing project budgets effectively.
