Pets First Hospital is excited to announce that we are looking to welcome a part time Associate Veterinarian to join our team. We are a caring clinic that strives to enrich the lives of pet owners and to provide all animals with the care that they deserve.
Our clinic is located in Chelsea, OK. The northeastern Rogers County community of Chelsea lies on historic Route 66 (true small town Americana), and boasts of 3 beautiful lakes within 20 minutes from town. Chelsea offers affordable living and easy driving distance to Tulsa for fun and spouse job opportunities. Our clinic serves the community of Chelsea and the surrounding cities of Vinita, Nowata, Adair, Big Cabin, Pryor, Claremore, Owasso and Tulsa.
We have 1 full time Doctor, a Practice Manager, and several support team members to facilitate our doctors to have a better work/life balance. We have digital radiology, ultrasound, in-house Abaxis and Idexx blood machines, and fully stocked pharmacy in our brand new 6000 sq ft building. We are open 5 days a week Monday - Friday 8 am- 5 pm, and offer care for small animals and exotics. There are no “on call” emergency hours.

Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality patient care for companion animals, including routine examinations, diagnosing conditions, and developing treatment plans.
- Perform anesthesia, surgical support, dentistry, and postoperative monitoring with attention to safety and aseptic technique.
- Manage exotic and small animal cases, including diagnostics, imaging, and therapeutics, while ensuring compassionate client communication.
- Handle, restrain, and care for diverse species, maintain accurate medical records, and follow professional ethics.
- Collaborate with team on patient management, anesthesia protocols, and hospital protocols to ensure optimal outcomes.
