Overview
Looking for an experiences line cook to join our team in an upbeat Irish Pub. This person would open the kitchen, do prep for the day, and then cook on the line for the day shift. Pay is competitive based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, ensuring consistency and quality in every dish
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, including ovens, grills, fryers, and knives
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations, adhering to strict food safety and sanitation standards
- Assist with food handling, portioning, slicing techniques, and meal preparation to meet customer expectations
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate meal service and ensure timely delivery of orders
- Follow safety protocols during food production to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment
- Support menu planning efforts by providing input on ingredient availability and kitchen workflow improvements
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments with strong culinary skills
- ServSafe or comparable kitchen certification a plus
- Skilled in food preparation techniques including slicing, chopping, and cooking methods
- Familiarity with operating various kitchen equipment safely and effectively
- Excellent communication skills for seamless coordination with kitchen staff and front-of-house team
- Understanding of food safety management practices and adherence to safety standards in production
- Ability to follow recipes accurately while maintaining high-quality presentation standards
- Catering experience is advantageous for supporting special events or large-scale meal services
- Strong knife skills with precise slicing techniques to ensure efficiency and safety in prep work

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
