Responsibilities
- Design and execute developmentally appropriate curriculum tailored specifically for infants, incorporating elements of child development instruction and early childhood education best practices
- Supervise and support classroom staff, ensuring high-quality infant care and effective classroom management
- Maintain a safe, clean, and stimulating environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and first aid/CPR certifications
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, milestones, and any concerns, fostering strong relationships built on trust and transparency
- Implement behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions and emotional well-being among infants
- Ensure compliance with mandated reporting laws and other licensing requirements related to childcare and daycare center operations
- Lead by example in demonstrating excellent child supervision skills, toddler care techniques, and classroom experience to foster a nurturing learning atmosphere
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in daycare centers or similar childcare settings is essential
- Demonstrated classroom experience managing infant or toddler groups with effective classroom management skills
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable
- Knowledge of childhood development stages, including infant care and preschool experience, is required
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with parents, staff, and children while maintaining professionalism in all interactions
- Certification in first aid, CPR, pediatric first aid, or related health safety training is mandatory
- Experience in behavior management strategies tailored for young children enhances your suitability for this role
