Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Operator/Production Technician for 3rd shift. In this role, you will be primarily responsible for maintaining ownership of the process and machines associated with the production of precision balls. Perform set-up and monitors machine operations and makes necessary adjustments to meet manufacturing standards of operation. Examine production throughout the machine cycle, to ensure quality level conforms to established specifications and completes required documentation.
3RD SHIFT: 11PM-7AM; Training will be on 1st shfit 7am-3pm for @2 months, then move to 3rd shift.
Responsibilities
- Make proper set-up and adjustment of machines using correct rings, stones, feed bars, pickers and approach plates to ensure production of balls to required specifications.
- Monitor machine operation and make necessary adjustments.
- Load in process containers of balls into machine turntables or hoppers.
- Unload machine, weigh completed production, document, and move production with use of forklift, hoist, crane, or buggy to storage area.
- Measure product dimensionally and visually to ensure quality conformance and record results on charts.
- Keep guards in place, cleans machines and work area.
- Notify supervisor of any quality, machine or production difficulties.
- Perform any other related duties as may be assigned.
- Must be able to complete forklift truck license exams.
- May be required to work a reasonable amount of overtime.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND JOB KNOWLEDGE
- Must have mechanical aptitude and ability to use basic machine maintenance tools to perform machine set-up’s and adjustments.
- Must be able to understand and interpret standard operating procedures, verbal instructions and use basic mathematical skills.
- Must have high attention to detail.
- High school or GED education required, mechanical skills preferred.
- Must demonstrate good communication skills, proactivity, sense of responsibility and problem-solving skills.

- Required to lift pans of production weighing up to 50 pounds several times daily.
- Required to lift or pull raw material to load wire drawer daily.
- Requires repeated stooping and bending.
- Duties require 90% standing and walking.
- The environment can be noisy with exposure to smoke from processing, oil and grease. The work environment is not climate controlled; temperatures may vary depending on the season.
- Eye, foot and hand protection required.
- Must keep guards in place and exercise caution while operating machines.
- Exposure to flash coolants.
- Works under general supervision.
Pay: From $23.00 per hour
