The director provides strategic direction and management for the development and implementation of comprehensive advancement, marketing, and enrollment efforts with short and long-range goals and objectives. The director is responsible for securing the financial resources necessary to sustain the school’s mission by focusing on major gifts, grant acquisitions, capital and annual fundraising, communications and events, and alumni relations for a Catholic high school.
Status
The Director of Institutional Advancement is a full-time, 12- month, exempt position.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead capital and annual fund campaigns and special events fundraising.
- Lead and manage existing Pennsylvania tax credit programs-EITC, OSTC, and BLOCS.
- Guide the school toward a focused, achievable fundraising portfolio to expand annual support of school operations and address the needs of growing student enrollment.
- Leads strategic planning and communication to support collaborative advancement initiatives, ensuring seamless integration with admissions.
Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Public Relations, and/or Marketing related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in planning and advancement programs (major gifts, donor development, planned gifts and fundraising experience), preferably in a nonprofit or educational setting as a supervisor or manager.
- Proficiency with donor management software (Raiser’s Edge NXT) and strong working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; willingness and ability to learn additional applications as needed including PA tax credit portals.
- Experience constructing and implementing long-term strategic plans.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee may occasionally be required to lift or carry items and objects of at least 20 pounds.
