Location: ECDC Nursery School – Sherborn, MA
Schedule: Part-Time (26.5 hours/week) School Year (Late August–Mid June)

ECDC Nursery School is seeking a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated Pre-Kindergarten Teacher to join our collaborative team of early childhood educators.

Position Summary
As a Preschool teacher, you will partner with another experienced teacher to create a nurturing, engaging classroom for children ages 2.9-4 class or 4-6 yrs. old class. You'll help plan hands-on learning experiences, foster children's social-emotional growth, and prepare students for a successful transition to kindergarten.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday: 8:30 a.m.–1:00 p.m.
- Monday Extended Day ("Stay & Play"): 1:15–3:00 p.m.
- Staff Meetings: Every other Friday, 1:00–3:00 p.m.
- School-year position (late August through mid-June)
- School vacations and holidays generally follow the Dover-Sherborn Public Schools calendar

Responsibilities
- Create a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate, play-based learning experiences.
- Foster children's social-emotional, cognitive, language, and physical development.
- Observe and document children's progress.
- Build positive relationships with children and families.
- Collaborate closely with teaching partners and the Director.
- Maintain a well-organized classroom that meets Massachusetts EEC licensing requirements.
- Participate in staff meetings, school events, and ongoing professional development.
QualificationsRequired
- Massachusetts EEC Teacher or Lead Teacher Certification
- Experience working with preschool-aged children
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Positive, nurturing, and dependable attitude
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and welcoming classroom
Preferred
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience in a play-based preschool setting
