Responsibilities
- Perform customized massage therapy sessions including deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and other modalities to address client-specific concerns.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments to determine appropriate treatment plans based on individual physiology and health history.
- Educate clients on self-care techniques and recommend ongoing wellness practices to support pain management and occupational health.
- Maintain detailed records of each session, including treatment details, patient responses, and progress notes in compliance with medical terminology standards.
- Ensure a clean, safe, and relaxing environment by adhering to sanitation protocols and professional standards at all times.
- Collaborate with other healthcare or wellness professionals as needed to optimize patient outcomes.
- Stay current with industry best practices, new techniques, and certifications related to massage therapy and medical spa services.
Requirements
- Valid state licensure as a Massage Therapist with active certification.
- Proven experience in patient service with excellent customer service skills.
- Knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology relevant to massage therapy.
- Skilled in various massage techniques such as deep tissue massage and trigger point therapy for effective pain management.
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and develop personalized treatment plans.
- Experience working in a med spa or occupational health setting is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to educate clients about their health needs clearly and professionally.
