We are a busy oral and maxillofacial surgery practice in Aventura, and we are looking for a warm, capable Patient Services Representative to be the first person our patients see and hear. This is the front desk heartbeat of our office. You will greet patients at the door, keep the phones moving, and make sure every person who walks in feels looked after from hello to goodbye.
This role is a strong fit for someone who already knows their way around a medical or dental front office and enjoys the mix of people, insurance, and clinical support that comes with a surgical practice. If you like being the person who keeps everything running and who patients trust, we would love to meet you.
What you will do
- Greet and welcome patients: check them in, help them feel comfortable, and set the tone for a calm, professional visit.
- Answer and manage phones: handle a high volume of calls, schedule and confirm appointments, and route messages accurately.
- Collect and enter insurance information: gather complete demographic and insurance details and keep records accurate in our system.
- Verify benefits: confirm dental and medical coverage, eligibility, and authorizations so patients and providers know where things stand before treatment.
- Talk with patients about their benefits: explain coverage, estimates, and out of pocket responsibility clearly and kindly, so patients feel informed rather than confused.
- Support the clinical team: assist the doctors and staff in the back with patients as requested, helping visits run smoothly.
- Keep the front office organized: manage the schedule, paperwork, and follow ups, and help wherever the day calls for it.
What we are looking for (required)
- Medical or dental office experience. This is required and non negotiable. You should already be comfortable in a healthcare front office setting.
- Insurance and benefits knowledge: hands on experience collecting insurance information and verifying medical and/or dental benefits.
- Reliable access to Aventura: you must be able to commute to our Aventura location and arrive on time and consistently for every scheduled shift.
- People skills: a friendly, professional presence in person and on the phone, and the patience to explain benefits in plain language.
- Organization and follow through: comfort juggling phones, patients, and paperwork at the same time without losing the details.
- Technology comfort: able to work confidently in practice management or electronic health record software and standard office tools.
Nice to have
- Experience in an oral surgery, dental specialty, or surgical practice.
- Familiarity with dental and medical cross coding or surgical benefit verification.
- Bilingual English and Spanish, given our Aventura patient community.
Schedule and location
This is a full time, on site position at our surgery center in Aventura, Florida. Standard weekday business hours. Dependable attendance and punctuality are essential, so please apply only if you can reliably get to Aventura on time.
Why join us
