Job Summary
We are seeking an Armed Security Officer to uphold safety and security across our designated premises. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for safeguarding personnel, property, and assets by implementing comprehensive security protocols. Your expertise in surveillance, law enforcement procedures, and emergency response will ensure a secure environment where everyone can operate confidently. This position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as a frontline protector, utilizing your skills in conflict management, manual handling, and first aid to maintain peace and order. This client is seeking someone with a flexible schedule as it can be subject to change. The hours currently are from 6:30pm- 2:30am.
Duties
- Conduct regular foot patrols to detect suspicious activity. loitering, and security breaches
- Respond swiftly to incidents using conflict management techniques and coordinate with law enforcement when necessary
- Operate security equipment such as Taser, AED (Automated External Defibrillator), and CPR devices to provide immediate assistance in emergencies
- Conduct loss prevention activities by identifying theft, vandalism, non- residents dumping materials, and documenting incidents accurately
- Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident reports to ensure compliance and accountability
Requirements
- Proven experience in security roles, law enforcement, military service, or related fields with a focus on armed security operations
- Valid certification in firearm handling, Taser operation, CPR, AED use, and first aid procedures
- Strong surveillance skills with proficiency in CCTV monitoring systems and performing background checks
- Ability to handle stressful situations calmly while managing conflicts effectively
- Physical fitness to perform foot patrols.
- Knowledge of security protocols, loss prevention strategies, and emergency response procedures
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with emergency responders and team members effectively
- Availability in having a flexible schedule as this shift is subject to change hours and days frequently.
- Up to date technological device usage for cad systems and guard tour patrol apps.
