As an essential part of our logistics network, you will operate a variety of commercial trucks, including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized vehicles like dump trucks and roll-off trucks. Your expertise in over-the-road (OTR) routes, delivery driving, and freight handling will ensure timely, safe deliveries across diverse locations. Duties
- Safely operate various types of commercial trucks including tractor-trailers, refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, and specialized vehicles such as dump trucks or forklift-equipped trucks.
- Plan and execute efficient routes using GPS navigation systems to optimize delivery schedules across long-distance OTR routes.
- Load and unload freight with proper manual handling techniques or equipment like forklifts, ensuring cargo safety and compliance with logistics cargo handling standards.
- Transport a wide range of goods including hazardous materials (hazmat), dangerous goods, or temperature-sensitive freight while strictly following hazardous materials regulations.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, compliance with DOT regulations, and proper functioning of all truck systems.
- Load & unload cargo accurately, securing loads properly to prevent shifting during transit; handle special cargo such as refrigerated items or tanker loads with care.
- Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, deliveries, inspections, and incidents in accordance with FMCSA regulations; communicate effectively with dispatch for route adjustments or issues.
- Comply with all safety protocols related to truck loading/unloading, hazardous materials handling, and transportation regulations to ensure safe operations at all times.
Experience
- Proven experience in commercial truck driving across various vehicle types including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or refrigerated trailers.
- Familiarity with route driving on over-the-road (OTR) routes and delivery driving within different geographic regions.
- Hands-on experience with truck loading/unloading procedures using forklifts or manual techniques; knowledge of logistics cargo handling best practices.
- Knowledge of FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) regulations, DOT (Department of Transportation) rules, and hazardous materials regulations for transporting dangerous goods safely.
- Experience operating trucks equipped with manual transmissions; ability to perform manual handling tasks efficiently.
- Ability to navigate using GPS navigation systems accurately while managing delivery schedules under tight deadlines.
- Prior experience working with specialized vehicles such as dump trucks or roll-off trucks is a plus but not required.

Pay: $5,800.00 - $8,500.00 per week
