Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role involves providing comprehensive patient care across various medical settings, including primary care, urgent care, specialty clinics, and hospital environments. Duties
- Conduct thorough physical examinations and assess patient health status across a broad spectrum of ages and conditions.
- Prescribe medications, including controlled substances in accordance with DEA regulations, and manage medication regimens tailored to individual patient needs.
- Perform diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture, IV insertions, suturing, spinal taps, and catheterizations with precision and adherence to sterile techniques.
- Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic, Cerner, or eClinicalWorks for accurate documentation of patient encounters and medical records.
- Provide acute care management for emergencies including airway management, ventilator support, and critical care interventions within hospital or emergency settings.
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to enhance evidence-based practices.
- Collaborate with physicians and specialists in specialties such as gastroenterology, infectious disease, geriatrics, behavioral health, or esthetic laser treatments.
- Engage in telehealth consultations to expand access to care for remote or underserved populations.
- Assist in discharge planning, case management, and coordination of post-acute or home care services.
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA regulations and ensure confidentiality of patient information at all times.
Skills
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings including hospital medicine, ICU, emergency room, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or outpatient clinics.
- Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, Athenahealth, or eClinicalWorks; familiarity with CPT coding and ICD coding (ICD-9/10).
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology (including psychopharmacology), and diagnostic evaluation techniques.
- Skilled in performing procedures such as suturing, dermal fillers administration, spinal taps, tube feeding management, and sonography.
- Experience with critical & intensive care units (ICU), Level I & II trauma centers; familiarity with trauma protocols is advantageous.
- Ability to manage acute pain cases effectively using appropriate interventions.
- Knowledge of Workers' Compensation law and hospice & palliative medicine practices.
- Competence in triage assessment and urgent care management; experience with occupational health is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development through participation in clinical research or specialized training programs.

Pay: $70.00 - $80.00 per hour
