Duties
- Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently
- Prepare work sites by cleaning, organizing, and setting up tools or materials needed for daily tasks
- Support skilled tradespeople by holding or passing tools and supplies during project activities
- Operate basic machinery or equipment under supervision, such as forklifts or hand tools
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a secure working environment for yourself and others
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Help with site cleanup and waste disposal to maintain a tidy, safe workspace
Experience
- Previous experience in general labor, construction, manufacturing, or related fields is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and bending or kneeling repeatedly
- Strong attention to safety procedures and willingness to learn proper handling of tools and equipment
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions clearly
- Reliable work ethic with punctuality and dependability as key qualities
