Employee will be under the programmatic supervision of the Director of Medical Services. APRN will maintain a collaborating physician and supervisory agreement for the purpose of prescribing medication as required by the Kentucky Board of Nursing.
- Conduct psychiatric evaluations.
- Provide medications/prescription management; and complete reports and related documentation to health care facilities.
- Maintain a KASPER account with a delegate.
- Perform psychiatric review and sign all treatment plans as required by regulatory and funding agencies.
- Psychiatric consultations
- Admission psychiatric histories within regulatory time frames.
- Administer injectable medications as indicated.
- Prepare and update treatment plans, goals, and objectives.
- Participate in discharge planning and referrals.
- Work as a part of a multi-disciplinary team to include outpatient psychiatric services at the Pennyroyal Center
- Lead and/or participate in weekly treatment team meeting.
- Maintains current knowledge of all applicable Federal, State, hospital regulations and provides all services in compliance with the latter regulations.
Required Skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Master's degree or higher in nursing with a university identified major in psychiatric and mental health nursing with ANCC board certification in psychiatric mental health nursing.
- Must maintain an active RN license in Kentucky and hold APRN credentials.
- Experience with an Adult Psychiatric clients
- Must possess a valid driver's license, and provide proof of automobile insurance.
- Must pass a required Criminal Record Check and a Sexual Offender Registry check.
- BLS Certification - American Heart Association (Healthcare Provider) or American Red Cross (Healthcare Provider) required, must be current.
